2. ISC-12261e Annealing Oven
This conveyor ovens feature a highly convective interior for optimal heat transfer and uniformity,
delivering the precision required to maximize productivity and quality. This lean furnace designs
minimize energy consumption while maximizing throughput in a small footprint. The proposed oven is
designed to anneal the specified Brass Cartridge with a 15-20 minutes cycle time.
2.1. Casing and Insulation
The furnace outer fabricated from 5mm (3/16″) carbon steel sheet. The inner liner shall be fabricated
from 1.5mm (16 gauge) stainless steel. The outer shell and inner liner are separated by 150mm (6″) of
Alkaline Earth Silicate (AES) fiber insulation.
Heating Chamber: 1220mm wide x 100mm high x 6100mm long (48″ wide x 4″ high x 240″ long)
2.2. Electric Heating System
The ISC-12261e conveyor oven features 120 kW and two controlled heating zones with SCR power
switching. Eight (8) direct drive low maintenance convection fans with high efficiency motor provides
optimal velocity for maximum heat transfer and uniformity.
Thermal Capacity: 800 kg/hr @ 425°C (1,765 lbs/hr @ 800°F)
Designed for heating processes from 175°C to 535°C (350°F to 1000°F) with ± 5.5°C (± 10°F) temperature
uniformity at discharge.
2.3. Conveyor
Precision balanced weave stainless steel mesh belt. Siemens VFD with heavy duty SEW gearmotor with
0.37 kW (1/2 hp) AC gearmotor and speed encoder. Belt speed is adjustable between 100 to 600
mm/min (4 to 24 in/min) for a cycle of 10 to 60 minutes.
Insulated charge and discharge conveyor extensions of 200mm (8″) for manual or automated part
loading/unloading.
2.4. Insulated Charge and Discharge Vestibules
Insulated charge and discharge vestibules are included to reduce the operating noise level (TWA) of the
machine to less than 80 dB(A) with 5dB doubling rate when measured around the perimeter of the
machine at a distance of 1 meter and 1.5 meters high. Each vestibule includes a 100mm (4″) flange for
connection of exhaust ductwork if required. Ductwork to outside of the plant with powered exhaust fan
if required is by purchaser.
2.5. Controls
The state-of-the-art control system is housed in a NEMA 12 enclosure with a main disconnect switch and
door interlock. 480V/60Hz/3Ph
electrical power.

This oven systems are built to meet NFPA 86 (Standard for Ovens and Furnaces) and are AMS2750D, and
CQI-9 compliant.
